When Bell Canada needed to outfit a fleet of Toronto-area service vehicles with new graphics, they knew where to turn to ensure image- and colour-perfect printing and precision installation. Resource Integrated chose 3M IJ180 – a self-adhesive vinyl specifically designed for printing vibrant, long-lasting vehicle wraps – and printed materials for more than 30 vehicles.
Then, during a four-day blitz, RI installers descended on garages throughout the city to outfit the trucks in the new vehicle graphics. The eye-catching design, by Leo Burnett and Xerox Canada, quickly drew attention on the streets of Toronto.
And the finished installation went on to garner the 2018 Vehicle Graphics Design Award for Identity Fleet Graphics from the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada.
Co-sponsored by 3M Canada’s Commercial Graphics Division, the 3M – PMTC Vehicle Graphics Design Awards recognize truck fleet operators and graphic design companies that graphically enhance their vehicles. It’s the only award of its kind in Canada, and draws entries from across Canada. “Companies that use effective fleet graphics while delivering their products are making the best possible use of the marketing opportunities that their fleet offers,” says Mike Millian, President of the PMTC. “Through this competition PMTC & 3M help encourage the visual creativity of fleet operators and graphic houses.”
