Designed to Stand for Canada

Bell Canada

Olympic Athlete Acrylic Display

As the official partner of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, Bell Canada set out to celebrate Canada’s most iconic athletes at all Bell retail stores, creating pride, excitement, and a strong national presence ahead of the Games. Resource Integrated supported Bell on this initiative, managing the project from early design development through full-scale production and delivery to the warehouse.

Bell partnered with RI to design and manufacture double-sided acrylic athlete displays built for high-traffic retail environments. The freestanding stands feature Canadian athletes in bold, high-visibility formats that command attention while maintaining consistency across stores. A total of six athlete versions were produced, with 759 custom acrylic displays manufactured and delivered to Bell’s warehouse for distribution. Featured athletes include Collin Cameron, Emma Maltais, Tyler Turner, William Dandjinou, Mollie Jepsen, and Cynthia Appiah.

Precision Acrylic Fabrication

Each display was fabricated using 6mm clear acrylic and paired with a 12mm acrylic base for stability. The displays were printed double-sided, requiring precise alignment, controlled opacity, and consistent colour density across every unit. Double-sided printing on clear acrylic presented unique challenges. All reverse-side artwork, including athlete names and jersey numbers, had to be fully mirrored to read correctly through the material. Some images required detailed graphic adjustments to achieve accurate reversals without compromising clarity, making careful file preparation and prepress planning critical to success.

Multi-Stage Workflow

The project followed a structured workflow to ensure accuracy before full production. Athlete image selection, design layout development, client review and revisions, and prototype fabrication and approval were completed step by step. The prototype phase confirmed durability, legibility, and visual consistency before full-scale production. Each acrylic piece was laser cut to match the athlete’s silhouette with tight tolerances, and controlled handling and quality checks ensured uniform results across all 759 displays.

Tailored Packaging and Delivery

Each athlete display required custom-made packaging to fit unique shapes and dimensions. Units were individually protected using tailored boxes. The full shipment was delivered to Bell’s warehouse using three trailers to accommodate the scale of the rollout.

Built to Scale, Managed In-House

This project demonstrates RI’s expertise in custom acrylic display manufacturing, including laser cutting, double-sided printing, prototyping, and large-scale retail production. By overseeing each stage from design development and fabrication to custom packaging and delivery, we ensured consistent quality, tight tolerances, and reliable execution for a complex, high-volume retail program.
